    God never ceases to amaze

Like the title of this post - God never ceases to amaze. I grew up knowing that most of my uncles, aunties and grandparents are not saved and during family dinners we just don't start the meal with everyone saying grace. More like the younger ones shouting "Ah Gong, Ah Ma, Ah Gu, Ah Yi - chi fan!" (Grandpa, Grandma, Uncles, Aunties - eat!).

Since the passing of our grandparents, family dinners and meet ups became seldom to none. But on the first day of September 2013, my uncle decided to celebrate his 50th birthday early and we got to meet with all our cousins, uncles and aunties again after almost 10 years! The best part was, we prayed for our uncle together, in the same faith. It felt surreal and dreamlike. Salvation for the entire family is true miracle (& we all know that miracles come from God). I mean, I know we've always prayed for their salvation but it seemed like there wasn't going to be any hope since they were so hardcore with their previous gods. It's like experiencing Acts 16:31 [They replied, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household."] and it feels awesome.

Now that my paternal family is saved, I know there's hope for my maternal family.
